Small Town, Big Respect | Week 6: Respect Our Community
Strong communities are built by people who care.
As we conclude our Small Town, Big Respect Campaign, Week 6 focuses on Respect Our Community. This week is about celebrating the individuals, volunteers, organizations, students, businesses, and community leaders who make Centre Hastings a better place to live, work, and play.
Respect grows when we take the time to recognize those who make a positive difference in the lives of others. Their kindness, leadership, dedication, and community spirit help strengthen the connections that make our community so special.
💙 This Week's Challenge: Nominate someone who deserves recognition.
Consider recognizing someone for:
✅ Good Neighbour Award
✅ Community Volunteer Award
✅ Youth Leadership Award
✅ Community Pride Award
Not sure which category best fits your nominee? Full award category descriptions and nomination criteria are available at the following link: https://centrehastings.com/living-here/community-engagement/
From lending a helping hand to supporting neighbours, volunteering at community events, mentoring youth, or making a difference behind the scenes, there are countless individuals whose efforts deserve to be celebrated.
🌟 Help us celebrate our Community Champions online! Throughout the week, we'll be sharing stories and recognizing individuals who help make Centre Hastings a stronger, kinder, and more welcoming community.
📸 Tag the Municipality of Centre Hastings and share a photo of your Community Champion. Include a short description telling us why they deserve recognition and how they make a positive impact in our community.
Nominations will be accepted from Monday, October 5, 2026, to Friday, October 16, 2026.
Take a moment to recognize someone who helps make Centre Hastings a stronger, kinder, and more welcoming community. Every nomination helps shine a light on the people who make a difference every day.
