Small Town, Big Respect | Week 1: Respect Starts With Me

Every respectful community begins with individual actions.

This week, we're launching Week 1 of the Small Town, Big Respect Campaign, focused on the theme "Respect Starts With Me." Respect is demonstrated through the choices we make every day, from showing kindness and patience to treating others with courtesy and understanding.

💙 This Week's Challenge: Commit to one respectful act each day.

Ideas include:

✅ Hold a door open for someone
✅ Thank a volunteer for their contributions
✅ Offer a kind word or compliment
✅ Practice patience and understanding
✅ Help a neighbour or community member in need

We invite everyone in Centre Hastings to join the conversation by sharing an act of kindness you've witnessed or completed this week. Together, we can inspire positivity and strengthen the connections that make our community special.

Take a photo of yourself, your family, workplace, team, service club, or organization holding your pledge or performing an act of kindness.

Share it on social media, tag someone to take the pledge, and challenge them to spread kindness in our community. Be sure to tag the Municipality of Centre Hastings and use #SmallTownBigRespect.
