Seasonal Fire Restrictions Lifted – Return to Regular Open-Air Burning Rules

The Municipality of Centre Hastings wishes to advise residents that seasonal burning restrictions have been lifted. Open-air burning may now resume under the regular provisions of By-law 2014-31 (Open Air Burning By-law).

Please note that all by-law conditions remain in effect year-round and must be followed at all times.

Important Reminders

• Daytime burning is permitted from November 1, 2026, to March 30, 2027
• All by-law requirements remain in effect year-round
• Keep a water source, hose, or fire extinguisher readily available
• Avoid burning during windy conditions
• If you are unsure whether burning is permitted, contact the Fire Department before lighting a fire

Residents are encouraged to burn responsibly and safely to help protect people, property, and our community.
