Planned Hydro One Power Outage In Centre Hastings - Saturday, October 17, 2026
The Municipality of Centre Hastings is advising residents of a planned Hydro One power outage scheduled for Saturday, October 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Hydro One crews will be installing a new power line to improve system reliability and increase electrical capacity for the area. As a result, more than 11,000 customers in the region will experience a temporary power interruption, including customers in Centre Hastings and surrounding communities.

Hydro One has notified affected customers through automated phone calls and text messages. Residents can also view outage details and updates through the Hydro One Outage Map or by calling 1-888-664-9376.
Be Prepared
Residents are encouraged to take the following steps before the outage:
✅ Ensure appliances, including stoves, are turned off.
✅ Fully charge cell phones, tablets, and other essential devices.
✅ Use a battery-powered alarm clock or charged cellphone for alarms.
✅ Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible.
✅ Have a cooler and ice available for items needed during the outage.
✅ If your water service may be affected, fill containers with drinking and cooking water in advance.
✅ If using a generator, operate it outdoors in a dry area, away from windows, doors, and vents.
