Notice of Temporary Road Closure – Mine Rehabilitation Work (Boat Launch Road)

Dear Landowner,

Please be advised that a portion of Boat Launch Rd will be temporarily closed to accommodate rehabilitation work by the Ministry of Energy and Mines related to an abandoned mine feature located beneath the roadway. This closure is necessary to mitigate public safety risks associated with the site.
The current schedule to rehabilitate the abandoned mine feature is expected to commence late summer and be completed before winter 2025. The road closure will be in effect starting the week of August 4th and will remain in place until the rehabilitation work is completed.

We understand that this may result in temporary inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we address this matter.
