Local Government Week in Centre Hastings
Making a Difference Close to Home
Every day, local government works behind the scenes to deliver the services, infrastructure, and programs that contribute to a strong, safe, and vibrant community. Whether it is maintaining roads, supporting recreational opportunities, protecting public safety, planning for future growth, or delivering essential municipal services, local government plays an important role in the quality of life enjoyed by residents across Centre Hastings.
During Local Government Week, the Municipality of Centre Hastings is proud to recognize the many responsibilities, services, and dedicated professionals who work together to serve our community. Their efforts help ensure that residents, businesses, and visitors have access to the programs, facilities, and services that make Centre Hastings a great place to live, work, and visit.

Municipal government is often the level of government closest to residents, responding directly to local needs and helping shape the future of the community. From front-line service delivery to strategic planning, the work completed every day helps build a community that is resilient, welcoming, and prepared for future opportunities.
Local Government Week is also an opportunity to recognize the many rewarding career paths available in municipal government. Professionals in administration, finance, public works, recreation, planning, economic development, emergency services, communications, and many other fields contribute to building strong and connected communities.
This Local Government Week, we celebrate the people, services, and partnerships that help make Centre Hastings a great place to call home.
