Leaf & Yard Waste Collection Begins Next Week

It's time to get your property ready for the season. The Municipality's Leaf & Yard Waste Collection Program begins next week, providing residents with two opportunities to dispose of fall leaves, garden waste, and small branches during the annual collection program.

Collection takes place on your regular waste collection day only during the following weeks:

Collection Weeks

• October 26 to 30, 2026
• November 2 to 6, 2026

To ensure your materials are collected, please have all leaf and yard waste at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day.

Accepted Materials

• Leaves
  • Grass clippings
  • Twigs and small branches
  • Garden and plant material (no soil)

Not Accepted

• Sod or soil
  • Stumps and root balls
  • Rocks and stones
  • Plastic of any kind

Collection Requirements

• Use paper yard waste bags only
• Bags must not exceed 40 lbs (18 kg)
• Roll down bag tops to help keep out rain and snow
• Brush must be tied in bundles no longer than 3 feet (0.9 m)
• Branches must be 2 inches in diameter or smaller

Taking a few moments to properly prepare your leaf and yard waste helps ensure a safe, efficient collection program and keeps materials out of local landfills whenever possible.
