Honouring First Responders Day – Centre Hastings

May 1st is a day to recognize and honour the dedicated individuals who step forward in times of emergency to protect life, property, and our environment. Across the province, first responders serve with courage, professionalism, and a deep commitment to their communities.

Here in Centre Hastings, we are proud to recognize the members of the Centre Hastings Fire Department. Whether responding to fires, medical emergencies, motor vehicle collisions, or public safety calls, our firefighters are always ready to answer when help is needed most.

Many of our members serve as volunteers—balancing their commitment to the fire service with their work, families, and personal lives. Their willingness to drop everything at a moment’s notice speaks volumes about their dedication and the strength of our community.
