In accordance with national direction, the Municipality of Centre Hastings has lowered the flags at municipal facilities to half-mast in recognition of the tragic incident at CFB Wainwright and in honour of the members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

As a municipality, we join communities across Canada in mourning this tragic loss and extending our deepest condolences to the families, friends, military colleagues, and all those affected. We also keep in our thoughts those who were injured and are currently receiving treatment, wishing them strength, comfort, and a full recovery.
