Council and Staff Extend Condolences on the Passing of Doug Keller, Former CBO

The Municipality of Centre Hastings Council and staff are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Doug Keller, former Chief Building Official for the Municipality of Centre Hastings.

Doug dedicated more than 42 years of service to municipal government, beginning his career in 1980 with the Township of Huntingdon. Throughout his distinguished career, he served the Township and Village of Madoc, as well as the Municipality of Centre Hastings, where he completed his outstanding career in public service before retiring in 2022.

Doug was highly respected for his professionalism, expertise, and commitment to building safe and vibrant communities. He took great pride in serving residents and was a valued colleague, mentor, and friend to many. His contributions to municipal government and the building profession, including his long-time involvement with the Land O' Lakes Chapter of the Ontario Building Officials Association, left a lasting impact on our region.

The Municipality offers its most sincere condolences to Doug's family, friends, former colleagues, and the many community members who had the privilege of knowing him.
