Centre Hastings Marks the Beginning of the 2026 Poppy Campaign
Today, October 26, 2026, Centre Hastings was honoured to welcome representatives from Madoc Legion Branch 363 to the Municipal Office as the 2026 Poppy Campaign officially begins.
During the visit, Legion representatives presented the first poppy to Mayor Tom Deline, marking the start of this year's campaign and reaffirming our community's commitment to remembering the courage, service, and sacrifice of Canada's veterans and active members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Poppy Campaign is a longstanding tradition that honours those who served while providing support to veterans and their families through the Legion's Poppy Fund. As Remembrance Day approaches, residents are encouraged to proudly wear a poppy and help keep the spirit of remembrance alive in our community.

We encourage all residents to purchase a poppy and support this important campaign. Poppies will be available by donation at the Centre Hastings Municipal Office, located at 7 Furnace Street, Madoc.
Every poppy serves as a visible symbol of gratitude and remembrance for those who served our country and protected the freedoms we enjoy today.
Lest We Forget.
